It’s easy to forget that the veggies and meat on our plate came from somewhere outside, from a life that took years of resources and energy to grow. The world opens up into a complicated and crazy food web once you look below the surface of our everyday meals… By discovering where our food comes from, what it’s connected to, and what that means for us, Coastal Kiddos believes that we can better understand how humans fit into nature. Through making your own ice cream, learning how to ferment and pickle foods, solar baking and more, kids learn unique cooking skills in a unique outdoor setting.
