Brooks is a Business Owner and Head Teacher at Coastal Kiddos. She graduated UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Agroecology. Brooks' focus of interest is the interconnectedness between all living things and sharing that curiosity and passion with the world to create a more sustainable future. Brooks enjoys connecting with her community by sharing meals grown in her garden. When she is not teaching or cooking, you can find her swimming in the ocean or dancing with her friends at festivals. Her favorite animal is the manatee!

Nadia is a conservation educator and graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in Biology - Animal Behavior and a minor in Education. Nadia has spent over nine years working in both formal and informal education settings teaching science, math, and literacy across the globe – from Kenya to Thailand to the United States. Today Nadia owns her own tutoring business and is consistently chasing her dream of becoming the next Jane Goodall. Nadia enjoys camping/hiking with her dog and ordering an excessive amount of boba tea. Her favorite movie is The Goonies and her favorite animal is the rhino!

Ryan Mills is an educator, coach, and writer. He graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a B.S. in Anthropology which sparked his passion for learning. After school Ryan climbed the ranks coaching basketball, starting at the local rec center, ultimately reaching the college level. Ryan also worked as a tour guide for four as a kayak tour guide in La Jolla. A bevvy of adventure by plane, train, bike, and foot has shaped him into a compassionate and focused teacher emphasizing self awareness and connection to environment. Today, Ryan produces original writing and stories centered around truth and meaning. His favorite animal is the monkey (his nickname is monkey boy) and loves to climb trees.
